Hi, I’m Francee. I began painting in late 2020, without a plan—just movement, color, and curiosity. What started spontaneously became a way to explore emotion and rhythm through gesture, texture, and color.

I paint intuitively, without references or fixed palettes. Each piece unfolds in real time, shaped by trust and response. While my process is rooted in feeling, it’s also guided by a quiet sense of structure—compositional choices, spatial rhythm, and the kind of balance that comes from deep attention. I’m self-taught, and I see that as a strength—it keeps me open, curious, and honest.

Before paint, there was dance. I began formal training at 20, majoring in dance at UW-Madison without prior studio experience. I learned technique and followed instinct—listening to rhythm, breath, and emotion in motion. That same listening shapes my work now.
