Organic Planks is a set of six 10×10 macro paintings pulled from the same early experiment — a couple of wood panels I never primed, never corrected, never tamed. Every mark and grain line became part of the story. I’ve always loved zooming in on my own paintings, finding neighborhoods inside the larger world, and these pieces feel like that instinct made visible. Deep color, saturated edges, and the feeling of being small inside something alive. Each one stands alone, but together they form a world of adventures where color, shape, and texture fold around you until you’re part of the surroundings and the surroundings feel part of you.
Crossing Grain
Leaving the bare wood unprimed and exposed became the foundation for this piece, letting the natural grain dictate the rhythm. Heavy lines and sudden drops of crimson cut across the raw surface, creating a tense, honest conversation with the paint. There’s no rehearsal here—just an immediate reaction to the space.
Note: This print features an intentional black border, carefully designed to capture the authentic painted edges of my original artwork.
