This colorful painting features a dark brown tree with vibrant, gold and neon-infused foliage in greens, pinks, yellows, purples, and blues. Set against a layered background with much of the same colors, the piece blends natural forms with abstract shapes, capturing a rare, spontaneous moment in my process—when I loved the palette so much, I let it guide me into placing the tree. That decision felt intuitive, almost impulsive, and it’s stayed with me. I sometimes wonder about making more pieces like this—where something recognizable emerges—not to explain, but to invite.
