Double Whimsy

Double Whimsy is a diptych that continues the fine-line "language" I first explored in Intertwining Play. I love the playful, organic energy of these two pieces and how the bold black outlines provide a sense of structure and strength to the composition.

Note on the edges: I paint the 1.5" deep edges of all my canvases black to create a clean, built-in frame. Because it's a challenge to photograph these dark edges perfectly straight and crisp, they may appear slightly different in these images than they do in person. In reality, the black edges provide a very sharp, professional finish that grounds the entire work.
