Night Jazz

Night Jazz began with a simple request for red and immediately veered off the path, which feels perfect for a piece now sitting under the headline without a map. What started as a straightforward direction turned into something layered, unruly, and an engaging challenge to stay with.

Deep magentas, teals, and hits of black move through the painting like a late‑night riff, with shapes overlapping and shifting as I followed the energy rather than the rules. It became one of those tricky pieces that surprises you — a mix of movement, color, and flow that only shows up when you stop trying to steer.
