Navigation

Navigation marks a bit of a departure for me, leaning into a unique palette of deep purples and rich, yellow golds. It’s a color story that felt right for this specific journey.

One of my favorite elements here is the heavy distressing. I tend to move in and out of using this technique, but for Navigation, it felt essential. That weathered, layered texture creates a sense of history, as if the piece has already traveled a great distance. Despite the bold forms, there is a calm, westward motion to the work—two figures moving peacefully through a landscape defined by a balance of total control and pure spontaneity.
